Vietnam Architecture Association yesterday said that its ninth national congress will take place from April 18 to 21 in Hanoi.
It is anticipated that around 566 delegators and 250 guests will participate in the event.
In addition to reviewing architecture and profession in the period 2010 to 2015, the congress will put forward measures to develop the architecture profession and its activities in the future.
On the same day, the architecture association announced 27 architecture works to win the national architecture prizes in 2014. Of them, artist’s impression of the house of National Assembly won the grand prize.
The competition council board said that the architect of the winning work is successful in using all capacity and pay attention to working environment as well as how the house matches with other surrounding constructions such as Ho Chi Minh President Mausoleum, Bac Son Martyr monument and the UNESCO-recognized Thang Long Imperial Citadel.
