PANO – The French Embassy to Vietnam and 6 local travel agents signed a deal to facilitate the 6 local travel agents in applying visas to France.

The signing ceremony, which took place on April 15th at the French Embassy in Hanoi, were attended by French Minister of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Abroad Matthias Fekl; the French Ambassador to Vietnam, French diplomats, local officials and businessmen.
Under the deal, the French Embassy would symplify the visa applying regulations for the 6 Vietnamese travel agents’ customers, who will go to France as tourists. Particularly, the tourists to go to French who have already traveled to foreign countries, espeacially European countries, will benefit from the deal.

With the newly-signed deal, France wishes to welcome more Vietnamese tourists to the country, according to the French Embassy.
The number of Vietnamese tourists to France has increased in recent years; 24,269 visas were granted in 2014, up by 28.7 percent from 2013, and about 11,000 visas have been offered so far this year, up by 62 percent.
The 6 local travel agents are Hanoi Red Tour, Naci Travel, Hanoi Iso Tours, Hanoi Tourist, South Pacific Travel and Vietfoot Travel.
