The amount of money which companies and enterprises in Dong Nai Province which has not paid for social insurance has increased since the end of last year, according to the province’s Social Insurance Division. At the end of last year, the amount of money was more than VND159 billion ($7.6 million).
As of the middle of May, the amount increased to VND338 billion ($16 million). This was the largest debt in last years.

Conference held for young farm owners
The Central Committee of the Viet Nam Youth Federation on Sunday organised a conference on management and development of farm economy among young people in the northern mountainous areas. The two-day conference attracted many economic experts in agriculture. This was a chance for farm owners to listen to counselling on policies and the Government’s assistance for the developing farms from experts. During the conference, 31 farm owners with the excellent operation results were presented certificate of merit.

$1.4 billion pledged for National Highway
The Deo Ca Investment Joint-Stock Company on Sunday launched a BOT project on expanding the 37.5km National Highway No1A, the section which runs through Ca Pass in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa.
After expansion, the section will have six lanes. Also, Co Ma Tunnel will be built to the length of 500m in Van Ninh District, for total capital of VND3 trillion (US$1.4 billion).

Ha Noi to supply clean water to rural areas
Ha Noi needs to invest VND3.9 trillion ($187.6 million) to carry out a programme to supply clean water and hygiene in rural areas by 2015, according to the municipal Department of Construction. In the programme, water supply station and pipes as well as water filtration pools will be installed. The programme aims to give water to all households in Ha Noi’s rural areas by 2015.
