Hoa won a two-way air ticket and one week trip to Paris, which is sponsored by Air France and Phoenix Voyager and he kindly gifted the prize to his hard-working father who lives in HCMC, so that he can come and visit Hoa in France.

English major student Hoa, who is keen to move to a construction major, won a scholarship to study in France fulfilling an ambition since childhood.

The contest launched in May by the French Embassy in Vietnam and VnExpress attracted 712 entries, 300 of which were published on the online newspaper.

The judging panel, which consisted of French Ambassador to Vietnam Jean-Noel Poirier, VnExpress‘ Editor-in-Chief Thang Duc Thang and singer My Linh, praised Hoa’s stories which contain valuable and subtle information.
