PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Minister of Defence, chaired a conference on July 5th in Hanoi to honour 123 outstanding groups and individuals of the General Staff in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example.
Addressing the conference, the general affirmed that studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example is an important guideline of the Party and a large-scale movement, which has been carried out in the whole party, people and army, and gained significant achievements.
Over the past time, organs and units have organized many training courses for political cadres and disseminated the movement, “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example”, making contributions to raising cadres, party members and people’s awareness of the contents and significance of the ideology and morality of President Ho Chi Minh, as well as the importance of studying and following Uncle Ho’s deeds.
Besides, cadres at all levels have strictly carried out criticism and self-criticism, under the Resolution of the 4th plenum of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure) on the party building, as well as helped each other in carrying out assigned missions.
More importantly, many groups and individuals saw studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example as their daily task and responsibility, as well as their love and gratitude to late President Ho Chi Minh. Many organs and party members have made every effort to fufill their assigned tasks and become typical examples in carrying out the movement.
Also at the conference, the Deputy Minister of Defence pointed out some short-comings in disseminating the movement. He said that to raise the effectiveness of the movement, the General Staff should focus on thoroughly grasping and strictly carrying out Instruction 03 of the Politburo and Instruction 317 of the Central Military Commission, as well as timely praising and promoting good examples.
