PANO – The 3rd contemporary dance festival, “Europe meets Asia”, will take place from September 25th to 29th at the Youth Theatre in Hanoi with the participation of artists from Belgium, Japan, Israel, France, the UK, Germany and Vietnam.
Highlights of the festival are two cooperative dance performances, one by German and Vietnamese and one by French and Vietnamese artists. “Lighting” is directed by German artist Anna Konjetzky and will be performed by five Vietnamese dancers, while “Underground” is co-produced by French and Vietnamese directors John Bateman and Nguyen Anh Duc, respectively.
Besides, the festival will also introduce contemporary dances, such as the solo piece “The Furrow” by director Fré Werbrouck and Belgian dancer Sara Sampelayo Fernandez; “Alphard” by Japanese artist Mikiko Kawamura and “Mushroom Z” by Israeli director Nadav Zelner.
Free tickets are available at the Goethe Institute, French Cultural Centre- L’Espace, Japan Foundation and British Council in Hanoi.
