The central province of Quang Tri has organized a program to support disadvantaged children by awarding scholarships in the 2013-2014 school year for excellent poor pupils and students across the province.
Accordingly, nearly VND1.4 billion has been given to 1,025 pupils and students in scholarships, together with presents such as desks, chairs, books and notebooks.
The program aims to help disadvantaged pupils and students who have made great efforts in study, and encourage them to continue to strive to learn. The province currently has over 30,000 children in poor families and over 11,000 children living in extremely disadvantaged circumstances, including over 6,000 disabled children and 2,000 infected by Agent Orange./.
