Pham Minh Chinh, a Party Central Committee member and Secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee, has paid a working visit to Ha An ward, Quang Yen town, regarding the results of the program on building new rural areas.

Visiting people in the most disadvantaged residential area of the town, Mr. Chinh praised people’s efforts in building new rural areas. Despite difficulties, each family donated over VND1 million to build a 300 metre road worth VND200 million.
However, he noted that Ha An ward should pay more attention to environmental protection and social welfare, by mobilising efforts from the whole political system, especially from women, in sanitizing the environment.
Although all the roads of the ward have been concreted, there are few gutters to release water, which causes floods during heavy rain. Therefore, the provincial Party Committee Secretary suggested that the ward should make plans to ask for assistance from the provincial board on building new rural areas to install gutters to ensure people’s lives.
Regarding social welfare, the secretary asked the ward to issue special policies to help 2 single women with families get jobs and overcome difficulties./.
