The organising board of the Vietnamese Talents Awards 2013 has revealed that they will expand the Awards this year to include Environmental Protection.
Dan Tri newspaper this morning, September 18, hosted a live online forum to provide more information about the Vietnamese Talents Awards 2013.
During the two-hour forum, four members of the organising board answered many questions from readers concerning the importance of the possible path to success the Awards can initiate, as well as the application of the winning products in daily life.
Answering a question on how the winning products at the Vietnamese Talents Awards are being developed and used in real life, Prof cum Academician Nguyen Van Hieu, who is chairman of the panel of judges for the final, said that over past years, although several innovations, especially in the IT sector, have been effectively used by local companies, the number of products being introduced and applied are still limited and the organising board will try to introduce future innovations more widely so that they can better help the development of the country. Prof Hieu also added that they are encouraging more entries in the field of Environmental Protection since our earth is being threatened by climate change.
Head of the organising board, Pham Huy Hoan, who is editor-in-chief of Dan Tri/DTiNews Newspaper, added that the Vietnamese Talents Awards have expanded to more and more fields over the past eight years, and products and scientific projects therefrom have been widely acknowledged by society.
“The environment has recently become a hot issue and we need more products to help protect our earth,” Mr. Hoan said. “Therefore, this year we are going to add Environmental Protection to existing categories, such as IT, science and health.”
