PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Truong Quang Khanh, Deputy Minister of National Defence, received Mr. Andrey G. Kovtun, the Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam on September 16th in Hanoi.

At the reception, the two sides highly appreciated the results of bilateral cooperation over the past time and discussed preparations for the official visit of Russian President V. Putin to Vietnam in the near future.
On this occasion, General Khanh extended the Vietnamese Defence Minister’s thanks to Russian Defence Minister, General Sergei Shoigu, for the Russian humanitarian settlement of questions relating to Vietnamese illegal immigrants.
