Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty
PANO – A high-ranking military delegation, led by Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, left for an official visit to India at the invitation of Air Chief Marshal N.A.K. Browne, Chairman of the Indian Chiefs of Staff Committee.
The 5-day visit, ending on September 27th, aims to further strengthen the friendly relations and cooperation between the two nations’ people and armies.
Particularly, the two sides will work out detailed programs to promote their defence cooperation, based on the Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Defence Cooperation inked in November 2009.
