The city has also earmarked VND5.7 billion from its budget to assist the provinces of Quang Binh (VND2 billion), Quang Tri (VND650 million), Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Thua Thien – Hue (VND600 million each).

In addition, the agency has set up 2 delegations bringing presents worth VND700 million to distribute to storm and flood stricken people across 6 affected central provinces.

According to statistics from the central steering committee on storm and flood control, Typhoon Wutip killed or left missing at least 11 people and injured hundreds in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien – Hue and Binh Thuan provinces.

In addition, the typhoon destroyed tens of thousands of hectares of rubber, thousands of crops and tens of thousands of houses. In Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Binh Thuan and Quang Binh alone, it caused a loss of up to VND11 trillion, of which Quang Binh saw the largest losses, at VND8 trillion.

Central provinces are continuing to overcome the consequences of the typhoon and flood. However, as the loss is huge, they need assistance from different sources to return normal life./.
