PANO- A delegation of Military Zone 5, led by its Deputy Commander, Major General Nguyen Quy Nhon, visited and presented over 20 tons of food, nearly 300 raincoats, life jackets, and boots to flood victims in Vinh Xay, Chum Ngil and Lam Phat districts, Ratankiri province, Cambodia, on October 7th.
Gia Lai provincial Military Command also presented 400 gifts to Cambodian people in flood-hit areas.
On behalf of thousands people in localities, Mr. Phan Hom Fum, Head of Ratanakiri province thanked all officers and soldiers of Military Zone 5 for visiting and presenting relief supplies to Cambodian people affected by the historic flood.
Recent Storm No.10 created havoc in these localities with heavy rains from September 20th to October 4th, flooding thousands of hectares of crops and many houses. Especially, the flood inundated over 1,376 households and 2,207 hectares of crops in Vinh Xay district.
