SOC TRANG (VNS) — Fishermen and authorities from Vinh Chau commune in the southern province of Soc Trang are trying to rescue a 10-tonne whale that became stranded yesterday.
The whale is around 12 metres long and two metres wide.
Local police and border guards have been mobilised to maintain security and help the whale return to the ocean.
However, high temperatures and a low tide are hampering rescue efforts.— VNS
