Abbott on November 15 released the first Citizenship Report in Vietnam, illustrating the company’s long-term commitment to improving the health of Vietnamese people. The report provides an overview of Abbott’s contributions to Vietnamese communities in 2011 and 2012.
The key citizenship activities listed in the report are aligned with Abbott’s global citizenship strategy and demonstrate the way in which the company works to advance local healthcare systems, enhance science and technology, address critical health issues, ensure business integrity, and provide professional growth opportunities for Abbott employees in Vietnam.
In Vietnam, Abbott and its foundation the Abbott Fund, have provided more than US$9.2 million in grants and product donations to address critical health issues through partnerships focused on improving nutrition, training healthcare staff, strengthening health system, and expanding community education.
