So far this year, the Ho Chi Minh city Fatherland Front has mobilised over VND21.5 billion from collectives and individuals to support the Spratly archipelago.
Of which, the city collected 325,000 messages worth over VND5 billion to support the archipelago.
The money has been used to give presents to cadres, soldiers and people on the archipelago, grant 4 boats worth VND3.5 billion each for naval forces at Spratly Archipelago, present a 30-seat bus for a navy force training centre and many devices to filter water for soldiers on the archipelago.
In addition, the city Fatherland Front worked with the city television to hold an art performance and prepare a new year celebration for soldiers on the archipelago./.
