Military hospital upgraded to first class

PANO – Military Hospital 354, under the General Department of Logistics, on November 15th announced a decision by the Minister of National Defence to upgrade the hospital from second to first class in the presence of Major-General Do Nang Tinh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics and other representatives from the Ministry of National Defence.

In addition, the delegates also cut the ribbon to inaugurate Building 2A of the Central Treatment Area project and the 3.0 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging Scanners system in the hospital.


Tran Quoc Toan Military Infirmary, the predecessor of Military Hospital 354, was established on May 27th 1949 in Viet Bac revolutionary base in the Northernmost region of Vietnam.


Over the 64 years of development, the hospital has consolidated its position with a contingent of qualified and devoted doctors and medical staff.


In recent years, Military Hospital 354 invested to upgrade facilities and technical equipment, such as CT scanners, color ultrasound scanners, and chemistry and hematology analyzers, as well as put scientific research subjects into practice.


The hospital usually treats from 350 to 400 patients a day.


For its achievements, the hospital was conferred twice the title of “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces”.
