In response to the global AIDS prevention campaign and World AIDS Day (December 1), the National Committee on HIV/AIDS, Drug and Prostitution Prevention launched “National action month for HIV/AIDS prevention 2013″ from November 10 to December 10.
The theme of the month is “Towards no new HIV infections”, aiming to change HIV infection prevention behaviours, and increase access and provide HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services.
The goal of the month is to promote the participation of all the political system and the people in the implementation of the “National strategy on HIV/AIDS prevention until 2020 and vision to 2030″ and the “Movement of all people involving in HIV/AIDS prevention in communities”.
At the same time, the action month also raises awareness and changes harmful behaviours, promoting safe behaviours to prevent HIV transmission among people of all walks of life, particularly vulnerable people, high-risk groups, and people living in remote areas and ethnic minorities.
The theme of the HIV/AIDS prevention campaign 2013, launched by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) on the World AIDS Day, is “Getting to Zero”./.
