VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung on November 27 in Ha Noi worked with local leaders of Ninh Thuan province in a bid to beef up the locality’s socio-economic development.

PM Dung highly valued the achievements in socio-economic development that Ninh Thuan has recorded over the past time.
“The province should deal with obstacles of poor infrastructure, the lack of water for agricultural development, low manpower quality and high poverty rate,” said PM Dung.
He suggested Ninh Thuan province uphold potentials to develop the marine economy, agriculture, salt production, tourism and services.
The local authorities were asked to join in carrying out the nuclear power project and resettlement for local residents.
Ninh Thuan is a coastal province in the South Central region and a gateway to key economic regions of the Southeastern, Central Highlands and South Central regions.
In 2013, the locality was forecast to attain a GDP growth rate of 10.5% of, over VND 22 million in income per capita; generate over 15.500 new jobs and reduce poverty by 2%./.
