Border guards rescue troubled fishermen

PANO – Troops from the Thien Cam and Cua Sot Border Posts under the Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard Command, in combination with local authorities and people, have successfully rescued 7 fishermen in distress.

Namely, at 4am on December 4th, ship HT-1030 with 3 fishermen on board from Thach Kim commune, Loc Ha district, Ha Tinh province, sank in bad weather while fishing about 4 nautical miles off the Cua Sot coast.


The Cua Sot Border Post, upon being notified of the news, asked nearby ship HT-20531 to rescue the fishermen. At 1pm the same day, the post’s troops worked with the “HT-20531″ to tow the “HT-1030″ ashore.


On December 3rd, a 5-fisherman trawler from Cam Loc commune, Cam Xuyen district, with Le Van Dai at the helm, was sunk by high waves.


7 troops from the Thien Cam Border Post promptly approached and rescued the victims. At 1pm on December 4th, the rescue team took the troubled trawler to shore.
