Forty eight international artistic photo awards announced

PANO- 8 sets of prizes with 48 awards were presented to photographers with outstanding art photos at the 7th international artistic photo contest in Vietnam, held on December 1st at the Van Mieu (Temple of Literature) – Quoc Tu Giam Scientific and Cultural Centre, Hanoi.

Photographer Dang Van No of Vietnam won the gold medal from the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) with his work “Em be Co Tu” (The Co Tu child). Meanwhile the gold medals from the Vietnamese Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) went to photographer Nguyen A with “Dong Ky le hoi que toi” (Dong Ky: My hometown’s festival) and photographer Ngo Thanh Binh with “Bat ca duoi mua” (Fishing in the rain). In 3 months since its launch, the contest drew the participation of over 1,400 contestants from 51 countries and territories, including 353 foreign photographers to compete in 4 sections of open, nature, portrait and tourism.


The organizing panel selected 663 photos among more than 15,000 entries (in colour or monochrome) to display at the centre.


The 7th international artistic photo contest in Vietnam, organized by VAPA and FIAP, is an occasion to affirm the prestige of VAPA in particular and the Vietnamese photography industry in general to international friends.
