The concert will consist of classic works such as Concerto for Two Violins in D


Minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, Concerto for Clarinet & Bassoon in B Flat Major by Carl Stamitz and Concerto Grosso in G minor, Op. 6 No. 8 by Arcangelo Corelli. The concert will also see performances from clarinetist Nguyen Tuan Loc, violinists Le Tri Toan and Le Minh Hien and bassoon Luong Thang Long.


The Saigon Philharmonic is the resident orchestra of the conservatory, comprising of local musicians as well as 16 musicians from regional nations such as Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.


Tan, born 1977, graduated with honors in Theatre Studies from the National University of Singapore. His significant participation in Music and Theatre has distinguished him as an unique multi-disciplinary artist with an impressive repertoire of work and achievements in Singapore and overseas. He is the recipient of the prestigious National Arts Council (Singapore) Overseas Scholarship and he completed his Masters in Music Studies (Conducting) studying with Imre Pallo at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.


Tan is Music Director of the Saigon Philharmonic, the Singapore Wind Symphony and the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra (Singapore).
