VGP – The PM has asked the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to provide 3,833 tons of rice relief for three provinces which were seriously hit by floods.
Accordingly, the central provinces of Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Nam will get 1,000 tons and 2,500 tons of rice, respectively. Meanwhile, the southern province of Phu Yen will receive 333 tons.
The PM also requested the People’s Committees of the three provinces to allocate the rice to right beneficiaries.
Earlier, the Government chief also ordered the MoF to put aside 10,000 tons of rice from the national reserve to three other central provinces namely Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh in a bid to support victims of the 10th and 11th tropical storms./.
