HA NOI (VNS)— Viet Nam hopes to work with South Korea to further the bilateral co-operation in a deep, effective and practical manner.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung made the comment at a meeting with Kim Yong Hwan, Chairman cum President of the Export-Import Bank of Korea in Ha Noi yesterday.
Dung expressed his delight at the fine development of the strategic partnership that Viet Nam and South Korea enjoyed in all fields, including economics, politics, external relations, education and training, science and technology, and official development assistance (ODA).
The results that Viet Nam and South Korea have achieved over the past years have benefited the common development of both nations.
Dung spoke highly of the bank’s contributions to promoting bilateral ties in trade and investment, as well as providing ODA to Viet Nam.
He said he hoped the bank would continue its effective efforts to boost co-operation and increase its funding for infrastructure projects in Viet Nam.
Kim Yong Hwan affirmed that his bank would continue to closely co-ordinate with Vietnamese ministries, relevant agencies and businesses to foster bilateral trade and investment co-operation.
He stressed that his bank would do its utmost to enhance credit support for South Korean businesses to successfully implement investment projects in Viet Nam. — VNS
