(Cinet)- More than 100 photos honouring General Vo Nguyen Giap are on display at the Exhibition which opened at 45 Trang Tien street, Hanoi, on January 01.
The exhibition is being held by the Vietnamese Association of Historical Sciences in coordination with the Quang Binh Association of fellow-countrymen.
103 photos selected from thousands of black & white and colour photos of General Vo Nguyen Giap during the revolutionary period and various historic moments taken by domestic and foreign photographers such as Vo An Ninh, Tran Khuong, Dinh Quang Thanh, Tran Hong and Tran Tuan, ect.
The exhibition also features many art works in other media, like a bronze bust of the General and a Chu Dau pottery vase engraved with his signature, as well as a number of portraits of the General painted by famous artists.
Additonally, a series of books on General Giap, written by the General himself as well as by other domestic and international writers, are also on display.
The exhibition offers an opportunity for visitors to know more about the General’s life and his resounding revolutionary activities.
General Vo Nguyen Giap, former commander-in-chief of the Vietnam People’s Army, who masterminded the defeats of France and the United States, passed away in Hanoi on October 04, 2013 at the age of 103.
