VietNamNet Bridge – As the largest fair in Lung Pu commune, Meo Vac district, Ha Giang province, in Vietnam’s northern mountainous region, H’mong people come here to buy candies and clothes in preparation for the new year.
The Lung Pu market is 12km from Meo Vac town. The market opens for six days to serve ethnic minority people like H’mong, Tay, Dao … The fair is on the way to Khau Vai, attracting a large number of people in the region. As the last market day of the year–so early in the morning, the road to the market was very crowded and congested.
The most popular items at the year-end fair are clothes and scarves. All women wanted to buy a beautiful scarf for the New Year.
