PANO – A delegation of the Ministry of National Defence, led by its Deputy Minister Senior Lieutenant General Truong Quang Khanh, on March 18th visited and inspected Depots K866 and 812 and Workshop X265 of the Department of Military Weapons of the General Department of Technology.
Having been briefed on the units’ achievements in the first quarter of this year and plans for the coming months, and inspected the units, General Khanh praised their solidarity and efforts in carrying out assigned tasks, saying that in the time to come these units should raise the maintenance and management quality of weapons, technical equipment and ammunition, strictly execute regulations on labour safety and fire and explosion prevention, as well as ensure weapons and technical equipment for training.
Earlier, the general visited and presented gifts to the family of Lieutenant Nguyen Van Quang in Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province.
Lieutenant Quang, a staff member of Workshop 467 of Military Zone 4′s Technical Department, was injured while carrying out his task in the unit in 2007. In spite of poor health and financial difficulties, Quang has successfully fulfilled his assigned tasks, and was presented with the “Good Soldier” title.
General Khanh lauded the efforts and courage of the officer and his family, hoping that in the coming time, Quang and his family would promote the beautiful virtues of Uncle Ho’s Soldiers to fulfil assigned tasks and build a happy family.
