New Zealand tourism promoted in Vietnam

PANO – New Zealand Foreign Minister Murray McCully on March 26th launched the “New Zealand – New horizon” writing contest to promote New Zealand tourism in Vietnam.

In the next three weeks, people can send their entries to the Vnexpress e-newspaper about the country, people and culture of New Zealand by text, photo or video clip.


Besides, Mr. McCully also introduced Miss Asia USA 2006 Jennifer Pham as New Zealand’s honourary tourism envoy in Vietnam.


Annually, Vietnam welcomes about 15,000 New Zealanders.


In 2013, about 3,000 Vietnamese toured New Zealand, an increase of 50 per cent against 2007.
