Huy Mang bridge in Son Tay district - one of bridges built from the fund of R-30a
Chairman of Quang Ngai PPC Cao Khoa has just approved to distribute over 48.2 billion VND to six mountainous districts and two agencies to implement Resolution 30a program in 2014.
Accordingly, the beneficiaries are Ba To (9.73 billion VND), Son Ha (8.7 billion VND), Tra Bong (8.6 billion VND), Minh Long (5.52 billion VND), Tay Tra (7.32 billionVND), Son Tay (7.92 billion VND), DoLISA (310 million VND) and the Provincial Center of Employment Services (100 million VND).
Reportedly, Resolution No. 30a/2008/NQ-CP about quick and stable poverty reduction program in 61 poor provinces through out the country was issued by the Government on 27 December, 2008.
In Quang Ngai, R-30a is implemented in the six mountainous districts of Ba To, Minh Long, Tra Bong, Son Ha, Son Tay and Tay Tra.
Total fund for the province within 11 years (2009-2020) is estimated around VND 24.3 trillion (over US$1.3 billion).
So far, Quang Ngai has allocated hundreds of billion VND to the program’s projects at the aforesaid districts in order to support local production, create jobs for local people and provide advocacy trainings, etc.
Besides, about 12,596 houses for the poor in 06 mountainous districts were also built from the fund of R-30a.
