Korean firm supports OVs

(VOV) – The Vietnamese embassy in Seoul, the Vietnamese People Association in the Republic of Korea (RoK) and the Korean Kumho Tires Company on April 17 signed a US$135,000 agreement to fund the association’s activities from April 2014 to March 2016.


Vietnamese ambassador to the RoK Pham Huu Chi expressed thanks to Kumho Group for their valuable support to the Vietnamese community in the RoK over the years, which has helped Vietnamese nationals enjoy a better life and integrate well in the resident country.


CEO of Kumho Tires, Kim Chang-Kyu said his company will provide aid of US$135,000 to fund activities of the Vietnamese People Association in the next two years.


He expressed hope that with the financial support, the association’s activities will further develop, making further contributions to strengthening friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the RoK.


Association President Tran Hai Linh thanked Kumho group and Korean organizations for their enthusiastic support for the association’s activities over the years.


He added that this is Kumho Tires’ second funding agreement for the association and underscored his determination to continue promoting the association’s development in the coming time.
