PANO – A photo exhibition, titled “Dien Bien Phu-Heyday Epic”, depicting vividly the development of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and General Vo Nguyen Giap in his return to Dien Bien, opened on May 4th in Vung Chua-Yen Island where General Vo Nguyen Giap is resting in peace.
60 photos, taken by reporters from the Vietnam News Agency and other Vietnamese photographic artists, are being showcased along the road leading to the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Quang Binh province.
This 10-day event aims to honor the Dien Bien Phu Victory under the sound leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh and the strategy talent of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the first Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnam People’s Army, as well as the brave fight and sacrifice of Vietnamese troops and people in the historical Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
The exhibition is organized by the Photography Magazine under the Vietnam Photographic Artists’ Association, the News Photo Centre and the Veterans’ Association of the Vietnam News Agency.
