The Hai Duong Department of Natural Resources and Environment in collaboration with the provincial Association for Natural and Environmental Protection on June 3 held the seminar “Responding to climate and sea change” on the occasion of World Environment Day (June 5).
At the seminar, the delegates heard reports on negative impacts of climate change in recent years and human behaviors that affect climate change and the habitat, such as deforestation and discharge of domestic waste and untreated hazardous industrial waste to the environment.
The talk passed the message that climate change, especially sea level rising, has bad influences on human life. Each person should take practical actions to protect the environment and resist climate change, such as planting trees, protecting forests, classifying waste at source, economically using energy, etc., thereby raising the awareness and concern of the people in the province about responding to climate and sea change and having responsible behaviors for the environment and nature.
