In the morning of 14 June, the provincial Steering Committee of voluntary blood donation campaign celebrated a ceremony to honor volunteer blood donors in 2014.
Accordingly, 59 individuals were honored for blood donation achievements to save patients’ lives.
As reported, in 2013, the province received 8,010 units of blood.
Particularly, in the first 5 months of 2014, the province has received 4,124 units of blood from 4,970 donors, reached 131% of the year plan. The blood has satisfied 100% of emergency patients’ demands, contributing to bringing happiness to thousands of families.
Currently, the province owns 296 volunteer blood donors from 7 times or more. Many of them were selected to represent outstanding volunteer blood donors in Vietnam.
At the ceremony, Quang Ngai PPC awarded certificates of merit to 20 typical individuals in voluntary blood donation movement in the period of 2004-2014; the provincial Steering Committee awarded certificates of merit to 39 individuals for their achievements in voluntary blood donation movement in 2014.
