​Chairman of the PPC has just approved the Rural Power Supply Project for the period of 2013-2020 in the provincial area with the total investment capital of over VND 800 billion from Central budget and ODA fund (85%) and the province’s budget (15%).



The Project aims to create motive power for targeted programs on hunger eradication and poverty reduction, improving living standard for local people, changing the production structure of people in rural and mountainous areas.


The Project will provide power for 624 hamlets of 126 communes in 12 province’s districts including Duc Pho, Mo Duc, Tu Nghia, Nghia Hanh, Son Tinh, Binh Son, Son Tay, Tra Bong, Tay Tra, Ba To and Minh Long.


The Project includes 02 phases. Phase 1 (2014-2015) will provide power for 144 hamlets with 10,907 households with the total capital of more than VND 168 billion.


After phase 1, 100% of communes and hamlets could access the national grid system and the rate of rural households having electricity in the province will be 98%.


Phase 2 of the Project (2016-2020) will supply electricity for 480 hamlets with 27,886 households with the total amount of VND 637 billion.


By 2020, the rate of households using electricity in the provincial area will be nearly 100%.


The project’s schedule is 2014-2020.
