Invited guests discuss at the event
In the evening of July 27, Radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV) in coordination with the State Bank of Vietnam and Quang Ngai provincial People’s Committee held an art performance and exchange titled “Supporting fishermen for fishing offshore” at the provincial Labor-Culture House.
Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Van Binh, VOV’s General Director Nguyen Dang Tien, Acting Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Minh, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Tran Ngoc Cang, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Truong Tho and a lot of cadres, citizens and fishermen in the provincial area attended the event.
The Program’s highlight was the discussion of representatives of the marine surveillance, coast guard forces and outstanding fishermen in the province. Through discussion, they presented the determination and patience to continue their offshore fishing and protecting the national sovereignty.

On this occasion, the State Bank supported VND 5 billion to Quang Ngai fishermen support Fund, VND 100 million to 10 needy marine surveillance and coast guard staff families, VOV offered VND 200 million to 20 fishermen in difficult circumstances in provinces of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh.
At the event, the State Bank’s representative also informed the latest government’s allowance and credit support schemes on aquaculture and fisheries development, especially the credit package of VND 10,000 billion to support fishermen.
Famous singers from VOV’s Theatre and Quang Ngai province, at the art program, performed excellent songs about homeland, sea and island. The program was broadcast live on VOV1, VOVTV, Quang Ngai province’s Radio and Television Station and the Radio and Television Station in Central Region.
Art performance
In the afternoon of the same day (26 July), on the occasion of 67th anniversary of Martyrs and wounded Soldiers Day and the organization of Program “Supporting fishermen for fishing offshore”, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Van Binh and his delegation visited and offered VND 300 million to Dang Thuy Tram Hospital in Duc Pho district and presented gifts to patients there.
