Transportation Minister Dinh La Thang paid a site inspection at the National Highway Project in Quang Ngai Province

​A delegation of the Ministry of Transportation led by Minister Dinh La Thang has paid a site inspection at site of the National Highway Expanding Project in Quang Ngai province.



With a total invested capital of over 5 trillion VND, the section in Quang Ngai province is 91 km in length and is divided in to three projects, of which two projects are invested by the national bonds, and the one other is a B-O-T project (Build-Organize-Transfer) co-invested by Thien Tan Group and Thanh An Company.


It is reported that Quang Ngai completed land acquisition, all clean site (202 hectares) has been already handed over to investors, and the construction is being pushed up.


According to Director of Department of Transportation Mr. Dang Van Minh, contractors have so far completed 20% of workloads, and 80% of total works left would be accomplished within 14 months. It is estimated that the National Highway would be put in operation on September 30, 2015.


Minh said that Quang Ngai would complete the project 3 months earlier than the dead line as required by the State Government.


Minister Dinh La Thang highly appreciated the significant efforts by Quang Ngai authorities in quickly completing site clearance and compensation.


Quang Ngai had been one out of five provinces lastly completing land acquisition, but the province finished its completion earlier than the four others.


The Minister praised the responsible management of Department of Transportation also directed contractors to kick off construction as scheduled.


Earlier, the Minister inspected at site of the 447- m Chau O Bridge with a total investment of 158 billion VND by Cienco 5.
