Following the success of previous programmes, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) in cooperation with the ASEAN – Japan Trade, Investment and Tourism Promotion Centre (AJC) will organise the Vietnam Seafood and Handicraft Exhibition in Tokyo. This is part of ASEAN Showcase Programme 2014.
Accordingly, 15 seafood and handicraft companies with good export performance to Japan, will be selected to attend the event. Eight seafood companies (specialised in frozen seafood, canned seafood, salted seafood, fish sauce, etc) will be picked up from the Vietfish Expo 2014 to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from August 6 to 8, 2014 and seven handicraft companies (specialised in bamboo, rattan weaving, lacquer, embroidery, etc.) will be chosen nationwide.
Vietnamese exhibitors will be able to introduce their products, seek business opportunities and meet potential customers in the Japanese market.
ASEAN Showcase is a large-scale event hosted AJC with the aim of promoting exports from ASEAN nations to Japan and boosting regional trade ties. ASEAN Showcase is scheduled to take place from October 20-24, 2014 at AJC Centre in Tokyo, Japan.
