PANO – Hospital 354 under the General Department of Logistics on July 31st teamed with other organs in Thanh Hoa province to provide free health checkups and medicines to 1,200 local war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, Agent Orange/Dioxin victims, veterans, elderly and poor people in Quang Nham and Quang Thach communes, Quang Xuong district.

The hospital also presented gifts to 20 policy beneficiaries and medical equipment to Quang Thach communal medical station.



The activity is in response to the program “Army joins hand for community’s health” launched by the Ministry of National Defence and aims to consolidate military-civilian ties and improve social welfare.


The same day, the General Department of Logistics handed over two gratitude houses to elderly Nguyen Thi Vong, aged 76, Ngo Thi Vi, aged 72, in Chi Dong town, Me Linh district, Hanoi. Their husbands had sacrificed their lives in the anti-American resistance war.


The General Department and Joint-Stock Companies 20 and 26 also presented certain essential commodities to the two widows.
