PANO – 55 troops and 3 vehicles of Engineering Brigade 414 under Military Zone 4 have teamed with local militiamen and people to stamp out a blaze in a pine forest in village 3, Khanh Son commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province.
On August 11th, the blaze started in village 3 and then spread rapidly to four other nearby villages due to strong wind and scorching sun.
Upon receiving the news, Engineering Brigade 414 sent its personnel, vehicles and equipment to assist the locals in putting out the blaze.
It took the combined force more than 2 hours to extinguish the fire and some five hectares of pine forest was burned.
