 To Huu Huy (Photo: vtv.vn) Four people in a Laos-Vietnam drug trafficking ring were arrested on September 15, with over 40kg of cannabis at the Lao Bao International Border Gate by the Thua Thien Hue Police. The police arrested To Huu Huy, 38 years old, Huy’s father To Huu Tien, 60 years old and Ho Dang Tuan, 44 years old, all in the city of Hue as they transported the 40 cakes of cannabis, each weighing 1kg from Lao Bao International Border Gate in Quang Tri province to Hue city for sale. According to the initial investigation, Huy is the leader of the ring and he went directly to Laos to buy the cannabis. He then delivered them to Ho Dang Tuan to smuggle them through the Border Gate. Tuan secreted the cannabis in plaster and coal in a truck. Near the city of Hue, Huy asked Tuan to take the truck to a deserted area in Huong Tra town and quickly moved the cannabis to the car of Huy and Tien. In addition, the police also arrested Ho Dang Dieu, 23 years old at Tran Thanh Mai Street, Hue because Dieu usually took Huy to sell drugs in Hue and other localities such as Da Nang city, Quang Nam and Phu Yen.
