The HMAS Larrakia, an Armidale class patrol boat of the Australian Navy, docked at Saigon Port, Ho Chi Minh City, Thursday for a four-day stopover.
Lieutenant Commander David McPherson, Attack 4 Commanding Officer, and a number of crew members were welcomed by representatives from Vietnam’s High Command of Military Zone 7 and Vietnam’s High Naval Command.
During their visit, the crew will lay a wreath at President Ho Chi Minh’s monument and visit High Naval Command of Vietnam.

They will play friendly volleyball with staff and students of the Naval Technical College and visits several tourist destinations in the city.
Before Vietnam, Larrakia visited Malaysia during her six-week Southeast Asian Deployment, which will also include Palau and the Philippines.
The ship will take part in Exercise LUMBAS 2014, an annual bilateral maritime exercise between Australia and the Philippines.
