The musical exchanging program to greet the success of Phu Yen 2nd Congress of ethnic groups, 2014 has just occurred in the outer space of the provincial Labor cultural house (Tuy Hoa city). Joining with the joyful; gong sounds, both the audience and actors joined hands in a circle, swinging with the traditional dances, tightening the great solidarity among the ethnic groups.

The program included 14 repertoires bearing great features, converging nearly 100 amateur actors from the ethnic groups of E De, Ba Na, Cham H’roi, Tay…in the districts of Dong Xuan, Son Hoa, Song Hinh and the provincial boarding ethnic school. The program was commenced with the performance of Son Hoa district’s gong team, bringing about the repertoire “Gong sounds to greet the villages’ festival“. Young men, some bringing gongs, some beating the drums, urgently to ask the audience to join hearts into the atmosphere of greeting new home, praying for new rice, worshipping quay…, which connected all people.


K’Sor Y Thư excitedly shared, “For over the past month, the non-professional musical group of Song Hinh district with nearly 20 young actors have been effervescently practicing songs and dances, to make it the best and the most skillfully. The Tay and H’Mong young girls try to express the elegant dances in their traditional costumes to show to their city friends their ethnic groups’ cultural and traditional features”.


During the rest time of the festival, Dong Xuan district’s gong team continued the program with the double-drummers’ performance, gong “three”, so much excitingly, inviting the audience to join in the wonderful “xoan” dances of charming Ba Na girls. The circle of the dancers was quickly formed and expanded with the participation of provincial leaders, cadres of the sectors and departments and audiences. Around the traditional “neu” tree, everybody was drinking “can” wine, shaking with the urging gong sounds.


Mrs. Minh Thuy in ward 7 (Tuy Hoa city), shared,’ Although this is merely a performance, I did have such a fantastic experience with the ethnic groups’ cultural features. I held the hands of the actors, dancing with them. Through music, I get better understanding of the people, the culture of various brotherhood groups living in Phu Yen province”.


As for Ma De (Son Hoa district), he said in a touching voice, “How happy I am when seeing that provincial leaders care about both material and spiritual lives of the ethnic groups. I hope that the provincial leaders will care more, create more favorable conditions for the ethnic compatriots to exchange, to join hands for developing the national and groups’ values”.
