The Ministry of Transport has approved an increase in the speed limits on the HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway and Thang Long Boulevard and Belt Road No.3 in Ha Noi.
Vehicles can now travel at up to 120 kilometres on these roads.

Viet Nam sends 83,000 guest workers abroad
More than 83,360 guest workers went abroad to work in the last nine months, meaning 95 per cent of this year’s target has been achieved, according to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs‘ Overseas Labour Management Department.
In September more than 9,600 workers left, including 5,420 for Taiwan.

Delta province earmarks US$9m for wetlands
The Tram Chim National Park in the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta province of Dong Thap has assigned top priority to the conservation of 57 endangered species, including 17 aquatic creatures and 32 waterfowl species besides eight species of plants.
Nguyen Van Hung, the park’s director, said the province approved a programme for conservation and sustainable development of the wetlands ecosystem at a cost of more than VND207 billion (US$9.85 million) in 2013-20.
The project will focus on protecting the red-headed crane and the 32 waterfowl species besides other endangered animals.
