VGP – The “Cool Japan” 2014 Festival was launched on November 15 in Ho Chi Minh City as part of the bilateral cultural exchange activities between Viet Nam and Japan.
The event was hosted by the Japan-Viet Nam Friendship Association with the participation of 40 Japanese enterprises and ten Japanese ones in Viet Nam specializing in education, tourism, foodstuff and businesses.
The two-day festival attracted a large number of local residents and tourists to taste folk dances, Cosplay performances, and traditional Japanese cuisine.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ho Xuan Son said the festival not only contributed to connecting the two countries in cultural aspect but also spurring educational and commercial linkages between the two nations.
The festival also serves to consolidate mutual understanding among the two peoples and create momentum for the development of the strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Japan, he added./.
