PANO – Defence Minister General Phung Quang Thanh, who is also a Politburo member and Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, on November 10th paid a working visit to Military Zone (MZ) 4.

On behalf of the MZ’s party committee and high command, Major General Nguyen Tan Cuong briefed the Minister on the results of task implementation in four sections. Accordingly, the MZ’s troops have strictly maintained their orders and combat readiness at all levels, coordinated with relevant agencies and local authorities to make timely solutions to unexpected issues, contributing to maintaining political stability and social order in the locality.
Besides, the zone’s constituent units have well implemented the ministry and military commission’s resolutions, enhanced law education and dissemination as well as well carried out the mission of gathering martyrs’ remains.
At the working session, General Thanh hailed the achievements of the zone’s troops over the past time and asked them to strengthen solidarity, strictly observe regulations to maintain safety in the unit.
On this occasion, General Thanh handed over the Military Central Commission’s and Defence Ministry’s decision on the new appointment of the zone’s Commander to Major General Nguyen Tan Cuong.
