PANO – A defence mission, led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Cung, Deputy Minister of the National Defence, on November 13th paid a visit to Army Corps 16.

At the working session, the corps’ Commander, Lieutenant General Le Duc Tho, briefed the mission on the results of task implementation in 2014. Accordingly, the corps has well carried out training missions, and command and staff exercises, as well as production activities.
Besides, the unit teamed up with local authorities and relevant units to implement economic-defence projects, contributing to ensuring social welfare and improving people’s living standards.
The general hailed the unit’s achievements on training quality, combat readiness, and manufacturing activities over the past time, and urged them to overcome difficulties and continue working with relevant agencies to maintain political stability and social order in their areas in the new context, meeting all required tasks in the time to come.
