(VOV) -President Truong Tan Sang extolled the China People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) for its positive contributions to the neighbourliness between the two nations while meeting with Chairwoman Li Xiaolin in Beijing, China on November 9.
The meeting came ahead of the 22nd the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders’ Meeting slated for November 10-11 in Beijing.
Sang said he hopes that the CPAFFC will put forth ideas for intensified exchanges between the two peoples in the time ahead, particularly on the occasion of the 65 th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2015.
Li Xiaolin, in turn, recalled milestones in the friendship between the two nations, including President Ho Chi Minh’s China visit in 1955 and friendly exchanges in 2010 to mark the 60 th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations.
She also pledged her organization’s best efforts to prepare for the anniversary celebration next year.
