Facebook is preparing Facebook at Work – a website that allows users to chat with colleagues, network with other professionals and collaborate on documents. It is Facebook’s attempt at competing with other professional social-media sites such as LinkedIn, according to a Financial Times article published on November 16.
Facebook is the world’s largest social network with now over 1.35 billion monthly active users worldwide. Viet Nam is among the top 10 countries with the highest Facebook traffic, reports Global Web Index.
Some people are concerned that Facebook at Work will make it easier for office staff to spend more time surfing Facebook for non-work related purposes and that their job performance will suffer.
What do you think of the idea? Could you share with us your thoughts about what you expect the pros and cons will be?
