The statement was made in recent meeting of provincial people’s committee’s leaders with authorities of Son Tinh districts about the socio-economic development in district so far the year.
It is reported that the district on year continually achieved significant results, and some statistics surpassed the targets set forth for the year.
Particularly, the total of production value reached over 2.4 trillion VND, exceeding the year’s planned statistic over 6% and increasing 14.67% year-on-year.
Especially, the total revenue of tax collection in the district so far the year is reported to touch over 77 trillion VND, reaching 206% of the plan set forth for the year.
The significant achievement is explained that Son Tinh district-located VSIP-Quang Ngai has lured as many as projects, and some of them developed hi-speed of construction, all of that increase the value of industrial production and construction in the district.
Besides, the district has implemented effectively works of society, culture, health, education security and social order.
Making directions at the meeting, Chairman Le Viet Chu highly appreciated significant achievements of Son Tinh district’s socio-economic development, particularly the job of site clearance and compensation on as many as national and provincial large-scale important projects in district.
Chairman Chu also asked Son Tinh district to strengthen further cooperation with VSIP investors to complete land acquisition as scheduled.
He agreed to choose Son Tinh district to be a pilot district for provincial key project of agriculture restructuring.
Therefore, he required the district to study as many as effective and advanced models, seeds, breeds, and so on that should be suitable with local conditions.
Closing the meeting, provincial chairman Chu agreed for Son Tinh to prepare investment three large-scale multi-trillion VND projects: the 150-200-bed-hospital, the new Town of the district, and the North-South road – the main road running through the new Town.
