The Government leader stressed the need for the army to master modern weapons, vehicles, and technologies to reinforce the nation’s defence strength as well as combat and self-defence capacities.

He asked for paying greater attentions to developing the defence industry, with the focus on bettering maintenance service and developing new equipment and vehicles to support the armed forces’ defence and combative readiness.

The army should continue helping with local economic, cultural, and educational development, health care, and the building of new rural areas while playing as the main force in search and rescue missions and natural disaster fight, he said.
